Create Your First NOVA Built-In Visualization

At a Glance
NOVA gives you a way to create sophisticated visualizations in HISE without writing your own code. You can contribute data visualizations to a study, save your visualizations to the Collaboration Space, share them with colleagues, and download CSV files for further analysis.
1. Open an IDE instance. (For instructions, see Create Your First IDE Instance .)
Navigate to HISE, and use your Allen Institute credentials to sign in.
2. Click Research > Advanced Search.
3. Create a new query.
- In the Name field, enter a unique name for your search.
- In the Projects field, choose the project space to search for your samples.
- In the Query output field, choose either Data files and reports or Sample metadata, survey and lab data.
- In the File groups field,choose scRNA-seq. A Result File Types field appears.
- In the Result File Types field, choose scRNA seq labeled.
- Keep the default privacy setting if you don't want to share your query. To share it with everyone, click SHARED. To share your search with a few users, click SELECT USERS, and choose one or more names from the drop-down list.
- Click Submit.
Your query appears on the Query Builder page.
4. Use the available filters, shown in the following table, to narrow your search resuts.

5. Click Submit.
